A Senator blocked the Naturalization of Andray Blatche

Everyone in the Philippines love basketball,  we are very passionate about the sports and most of the Pinoy fans wants to see the Philippines be recognize in basketball again. We all know that the recent second place win of the Philippines in the FIBA Asia had given as a privileged to once again compete in the international arena of basketball in Spain, called the World Cup of Basketball.

Obviously we would do everything to get some advantage and given the fact that we are not the strongest team out there and not necessarily the tallest either, we obviously look for outside help.  From the start we all knew about foreign players playing for the Philippines,  in fact with out the lanky foreign players we would not been in this position today.

So why is this senator blocking the citizenship of Andre Blatche? does he not like basketball? is he not getting enough publicity already? is he not convinced that the American NBA player can help the Philippines team? does he knows that all of the other countries are doing it also?

According to him naturalizing someone because they want to play for the country to contribute is not enough, he also mentioned that these players are going back to their country after the tournament, in short its a flimsy reason to make them a citizen.  yeah right!


Is it not good reason enough that he wants to bring honor to the country. It does not really matter were he chose live after, what matter is if he is wearing our flag and representing our country well.

Unlike those Filipinos, who are wearing coat and tie, sometime barong, those who are getting rich just hanging out in their chairs not doing anything and just waiting for their pork barrel, those guys are the one who should be ashamed of themselves, they should be removed of citizenship.
