Unsigned forward Glen Davis to be sidelined 2-3 months with ankle surgery
Glen Davis will be sidelined for two to three months after having surgery on his left ankle. Davis had ligaments repaired in his left ankle in addition to having a cyst and bone spurs removed. He suffered the injury in Game 6 of the first round of the Western Conference playoffs against San Antonio Spurs.
The Times reported in late August that Davis had met with Clippers coach Doc Rivers about rejoining the team, which still has an open roster spot, and that the Dallas Mavericks had also shown interest. The 6-foot-9, 289-pound Davis averaged 4.0 points and 2.3 rebounds last season for the Los Angeles Clippers.
