USJR Jaguars’ Tricky Dyn Peromingan: The next basketball star from the South

The will to win in every game is what sets average players from those who succeed. This has always been the mindset of this young player from Mindanao. Born Tricky Dyn Peromingan on February 26, 1997 to Mr. Ricardo Peromingan and Ms. Lynibeb Laraga in Valencia City, Bukidnon, this 5-foot-10 freshman college cager plays point guard and power forward positions for the University of San Jose-Recoletos.

He wears jersey number 18 because of his idol James Yap. His career high in points is 28 when they played against Hercor College, Iloilo in UniGames. Tricky’s favorite shot includes up and under and the dagger three-pointer. In the PBA, he looks up to his idols James Yap and Terrence Romeo. Achievements tucked under his belt include being the MVP in the NBTC All-Star 2013 held in Bukidnon. He was able to join the NBTC High School All-Star 2013 in Ynares Sports Complex, Pasig. He is also the 2013 MVP of Jojo Lastimosa Alaska Cup in Cagayan de Oro City. He played in the UAAP season 77 high school division for the FEU Baby Tamaraws.

“My goal for the season is to further improve in every game and prove my worth as an integral part of the team.”, quipped the chinito cager. His ambition in life is to become a professional basketball player and make it to the PBA someday. With determination, perseverance, and faith in God, this young guy’s dream is not far-fetched to reality.
