La Liga: Madrid clubs and Barcelona secured wins

Alavez 1-4 Real Madrid
Real Madrid maintained their unbeaten run in the La Liga after they beat Alavez in their league fixture last night. But it was actually the home side who got in front after just 7 minutes after a swift counter attack that Deyverson converted after a beautiful low cross on the box. Real Madrid were back in it when an Alavez defender handed the ball in the box in an attempt to stop Gareth Bale's free kick. Cristiano Ronaldo converted the spot kick to put his side level 1-1 in the 17th minute. In the 33rd minute Ronaldo once again scored for the Los Blancos after his long range shot found its way on the back of the net. The scored remained that way until the 84th minute when Alvaro Morata put the game within out of reach for the home side. Cristiano Ronaldo completed his hat-trick in the 88th minute when he scored a goal inside the box after Marcelo crosses it low in the box. Ronaldo's hat trick against Alavez means that he has now scored hat-tricks against 20 different clubs, his 40th in his career and 31st in the La Liga.
Atletico Madrid 4-2 Malaga
Atletico remained in close proximity with their city rival Real Madrid on the top of the table after an important win last night in La Liga. Yannick Carrasco scored for Atletico in just 7 minutes after he dribbled past 2 defenders to get the space he needed to strike the ball past the keeper. Kevin Gameiro scored the 2nd goal for his team in the 24th minute after he capitalizes on the weak header clearance by the Malaga defenders. Malaga were back in the match in the 31st minute after Sandro Ramirez delivered a bullet free kick that left the keeper no chance at all to save it. Gameiro restored the two goal advantage when scored his second of the game after a great overhead through ball by Gabi that Gameiro won against the defender then scored pass the keeper to make 3-1. Ignacio Camacho once again put his side within one goal when he scored from a corner kick in the 64th minute. Carrasco put the game within out of reach when he scored in the 86th minute to extinguish all hopes of a comeback with a superb swift counter attack goal.
Barcelona 1-0 Granada
With the Madrid clubs winning their matches. FC Barcelona find themselves once again in a must win situation to keep the pressure on the leaders Real Madrid to maintain the 2 point differential between the two of them. The only goal that separates the two clubs was in the 48th minute when a scrambled happened in the box after five Barca players found themselves in the box, Messi missed the initial attempt when the ball struck the post the rebound however fell kindly to Rafinha and he tucked it in the goal with an overhead kick.
