Tim Cone - I Think the PBA Have Forgotten About How Great Greg Slaughter is, He is Just Like JunMar Fajardo

Greg Slaughter is like JunMar Fajardo, agree? Coach Tim Cone thinks so?

Greg Slaughter is slowly getting back his form and against Kia Picanto he showed a glimpse of things to come.

Barangay Ginebra easily defeated Kia Picanto and Coach Tim Cone attributes the game to focus and inside presence.

Tim Cone stated that people are forgetting how dominant was the now 29-year-old 7 ft center during the time he was healthier. Greg was averaging double-double in his first three seasons. Scoring 16 points to as high as 19 points per game during the  2015-16 season and he was also grabbing more than 10 rebounds.

Greg Slaughter could have changed history if only he was still in tiptop shape but he had to go under a couple of procedures due to ACL and other injuries. Now that he is finally back and hopefully fully healed and well, coach Tim Cone is certainly enjoying the services of the big man.

Greg Slaughter has the ability to control the paint and change the way team plays, he is like JunMar Fajardo - Tim cone

Tim Cone expects a lot from Greg and with a comparison to the league MVP, the pressure is on as Greg continues to recover and take more minutes especially with the departure of  Japeth Aguilar who is bound to represent the country in the FIBA Asia Cup in Lebanon.

Greg is great and massive, he was leading the All filipino conference before he got injured. I expect him to be consistent - Tim Cone

Tim cited how important Slaughter is in their game and mentioned why it is so difficult to guard the likes of Cabagnot and the guards of SMB with JunMar around.

Greg Slaughter is in a good position again to make things happen for the Gin Kings and with him in good shape, they might just be able to defend the Governors Cup crown and win the championship again.

Do you think Greg Slaughter is like JunMar Fajardo?

Yes
No
They have similarities
Both are great players
Not even close, JunMar is a lot better

Justin Brownlee is not Worried About Helterbrand and Devance Injury

No doubt Justin Brownlee has carried the Ginebra franchise with his consistent play in the conference.
Brownlee is again the player of the game after scoring 35 points and grabbing 14 rebounds to help put down the Blackwater Elite.
Brownlee credits the Elite and talks about what he thinks about Joe Devance and Jayjay Helterbrand's injury.
Confidently, he answers that Tim Cone has instilled the mentality of being ready when this situation happens.  "Next Man Up"
He ends the interview by saying  "Never Say Die".
