Pacquiao KO worth more than all the money in the world - Marquez

A report from ESPN says:

"Speaking sincerely, I don't think about that anymore," Marquez said of the notion of yet another Pacquiao fight. "Anything that was pending was settled, in every way. If he would have knocked me out the way I did to him, how am I going to ask for another fight?

"Keeping that feeling would be grandiose, and to have my Mexican supporters and the whole world enjoy that feeling and say, 'Remember the best pound-for-pound fighter that was knocked out by Juan Manuel Marquez?' -- to me, that is worth more than all the money in the world."  - Juan Manuel Marquez

In a recent interview with Juan Manuel Marquez by ESPN, he was asked if he was willing to fight Pacquiao again and Juan Manuel Marquez was pretty blunt on his answer, Top Rank and Zanfer Promotions have been open about their plans for a fight next year that would match the winner of Bradley-Marquez with the winner of the Pacquiao-Brandon Rios bout on Nov. 23 but Marquez don't want nothing of it.

"We know that the offer will be tempting, but it isn't worth more than the feeling, what was lived, what was acquired after that knockout," Marquez said. "That's worth more than several million dollars. I would rather retire with this feeling than take a risk in whatever happens with Pacquiao [such as another controversial decision]."

I guess Manny Pacquiao and Filipinos, as heartbreaking as it is would have to settle with the lost, every time we see that Picture above its just heartbreaking, I don't know how many more time I should say heartbreaking because it is really. Juan Manuel Marquez on the other hand is just being wise, he knew that Pacquiao still got the capability to beat him and wont risk that feeling. The Mexican will forever be remember as the person who defeated the Pound for Pound champion Manny Pacquiao.

Every superman got a kryptonite.

Grant Hill Retires, What legacy did he leave behind? video

If there is a basketball player who deserve a championship one of them will be Grant Hill. However after 19 years of professional basketball Grant Hill never won a championship, although he was dominating during his first six seasons with Detroit he was unable to lead them to a championship unlike his glory days in college when he won 2 National Championship for Duke University.

Now 40 years old, 7 times all-star, 81st in all time scoring, 79th in assist Grant Hill is calling it a career announcing his retirement before the Pacers and the Heat eastern finals game. Although injuries have limited him, his career was still a great one and his name may still be posted in the Hall of fame like we all had his poster on our wall during his prime days. Thanks Grant Hill for the basketball memories.

Pacquiao may not fight in the US and Philippines again because of...

Seems like everybody's got a price - That's true in most cases
I wonder how they sleep at night - comfortably with their soft big bed
When the sale comes first and the truth comes second - since when its the other way around?
Just stop for a minute and smile - Okay

It's not about the money, money, money -  its all about the money
We don't need your money, money, money - yes we do
We just wanna make the world dance - Well we also want to do this
Forget about the price tag - never forget about the price tag

The Lyrics above is from Jessie J - Price Tag, I just have to use it as an analogy, sorry I should say the  other way around because in the world of Sports and Entertainment its all about the cha-ching, cha-ching and the ba-bling, ba-bling and of course we also want to make the world dance and but we should not forget about the price tag.

This is exactly the reason why Manny Pacquiao promoter Bob Arum thinks that Manny Pacquiao will never fight in the US again.

"By fighting outside the country, as he’s doing in this Rios fight, Manny doesn’t have to pay U.S. taxes anymore – at a rate of 40% for a foreign athlete," Arum said. "If this pay-per-view and other things take off like we think they may, I can’t imagine Pacquiao will ever again fight in the U.S.”

Statement above is from Bob Arum, and if you think there is a slight chance that he will be fighting in his home country then think again, oh well may be it can happen if some financial giants back it up. Manny Pacquiao may only have a few fight left in him and he could be done, maybe the fight with Rios is the last fight, maybe not but considering he is in the twilight of  his career it is hard to reject big money offer to fight in places like China, Singapore, Middle east and maybe Europe other places where he could earn big buck. who can blame him after all its all about the cha-ching, cha-ching and the ba-bling, ba-bling.

Man vs Woman MMA full fight video!

Controversial Transgender MMA fighter Fallon Fox should not really be fighting in the women division because technically he is a man, but I guess the Championship Fighting Alliance thinks other wise as Fallon Fox fought in his first ever televised fight against Allana Jones.

Clearly everyone would expect that this should be a domination from Fallon Fox but Allana Jones gave the Transgender a good fight for her money, at least until the third round when Fallon finally ended the fight in a submission, not very impressive though.

PBA vs Gilas tour this July date and venues?

As the 2013 FIBA Asia come closer,  the Smart Gilas Pilipinas need to work harder and be tested, This July they plan to hold a 3 City national tour including Davao, Cebu and Manila.

Smart Gilas will be facing the PBA selection in three playdates. The teams will first face off on July 19 in Davao, Cebu on July 23 and Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay on July 26.

These game will serve as the basis for trimming down the team down to the standard 12 man line up,  the current roster includes Marcus Douthit, Sonny Thoss, Junmar Fajardo, Greg Slaughter, Marc Pingris, Japeth Aguilar, Ranidel de Ocampo, Gary David, Jeff Chan, Gabe Norwood, Larry Fonacier, LA Tenorio, Jayson Castro, Jimmy Alapag and Ryan Reyes. Kelly Williams and Jared Dillinger won’t be able to join due to health problems.

The Smart Gilas Pilipinas will play against the PBA selection including some former member of Gilas Squad like Chris Tiu, Mark Barroca, included in the line up are Calvin Abueva who I feel should be inserted in the Gilas line up, Cyrus Baguio, Mark Barroca, Beau Belga, Alex Cabagnot, KG Canaleta, Jayvee Casio, Joe Devance, Chris Ellis, Arwind Santos, PJ Simon, and Jay Washington.

The Philippines is hopeful that they will finish strong in the upcoming tournament as the FIBA Asia Championship, will serve as the Asian eliminator to the 2014 FIBA World Cup that will takes place on August 1-11.

Do you think we have a good chance?
