AJ BANAL KNOCKS OUT BIG YOO IN 5TH

AJ 'Bazooka' Banal (L) of the Philippines sends Big Yoo of South Korea to the canvas with a vicious left uppercut in the 5th round during their WBO Asia Pacific Bantamweight Title fight at the Carlos P. Garcia Auditorium in Tagbilaran City Saturday night. Banal won the belt via knockout after Yoo failed to beat the count in an otherwise close contest.




In the main undercards, Jason Pagara knocked out Korean Young Bin Kim in the 2nd round while James Bacon also won by knockout over the durable Eric Macas of Lanao del Norte.

Erratum: The initial report was the knockout happened in the 6th round but upon verification, it was ascertained that the knockout happened in the 5th round.
