DETROIT — A person familiar with the negotiations tells The Associated Press that Tracy McGrady has agreed to terms of a one-year contract with the Detroit Pistons.

The person, who spoke Tuesday on the condition of anonymity because the deal hasn't been announced, says McGrady will play for $1.3 million this season.

McGrady played in just 30 games last season for Houston and New York. He had major surgery on his right knee in the middle of the 2008-09 season.

The seven-time All-Star and two-time scoring champion drew some interest from the Chicago Bulls this summer. - AP
