Miguel Cotto destroys Rodriguez, signals his return

2012 was not a good year for the Puerto rican boxer as he lost all of his fights, first against Floyd Mayweather who undoubtedly is the best pound for pound boxer today and Austin Trout who defeated him by unanimous decision. We thought Miguel Cotto's days in boxing was over, he was inactive for almost a year. 

I guess the long wait was worth it, Miguel Cotto registered a win and is now back on the winning track after knocking out and outclassing Delvin Rodriguez in their match. Miguel Cotto worked with Freddie Roach on this fight and from the start of the round it was evident that Cotto will be pushing the fight, Cotto was moving forward to show his improved offensive arsenal. Delvin Rodriguez tried to answer back but Miguel Cotto was determined to show the fans that he is back and he is better than ever. It did not take long for Cotto to put down Rodriguez, after some heavy body shots, Cotto landed a left hook to the face that rocked Delvin Rodriguez  and put him down on the canvas. The referee have no choice but to stop the fight and declare Miguel Cotto as the winner via TKO in the 3rd round.
