South Florida upsets Temple Saturday in college football
South Florida running back Marlon Mack rushed for 230 yards and USF crushed and upset the favored Temple Owls 44 to 23 Saturday at South Florida in college football.
Temple is now 8 and 2 overall and 5 and 1 in the American Athletic Conference while USF improved to 6 and 4 and 4 and 2. Both are in the AAC's East Division.
Temple just gave up too many big plays Saturday as USF has now won four in a row and five of six games after a 1 and 3 beginning to the 2015 campaign.
Temple quarterback P.J. Walker threw for 259 yards Saturday but threw for just one touchdown and one interception.
"It was just one of those nights where nothing really went well,” Temple head coach Matt Ruhle said to the Associated Press Saturday. " We have a lot to fix. {The Temple players} know where they stand. They've earned the right to control their own destiny. They won eight games. That's a credit, but we have to get back to playing better football."
