Generals cager Emmanuel “Super Mario” Bonleon II on brink of stardom

The Philippines is a country known for world-class sports figures like boxing icon Manny Pacquiao, kegler Paeng Nepomuceno, runner Lydia De Vega, the magician Efren “Bata” Reyes, and Nonito “The Filipino Flash” Donaire. These athletes are products of hard work and training that they developed when they were still young. Such is the case of this upcoming basketball star from Emilio Aguinaldo College.

Born Mario Emmanuel Tupaz Bonleon II on September 29, 1997 in Davao City to Mr. Mario Emmanuel D. Bonleon and Ms. Gerlie Tupaz Bonleon, the 6-foot-4 head turner is currently playing as shooting guard for the Emilio Aguinaldo College Generals.
Mario is currently studying as a BSIT freshman student. He fired his career high 46 points in a league. If there is an NBA player whom he wants to play one-on-one with, it will be Los Angeles Lakers shooting guard Kobe Bryant so he can study and see his signature moves. His favorite shot is fast break layup. In the UAAP collegiate basketball, he idolizes his brother UST Growling Tiger cager Embons Bonleon.
Despite the busy schedule he has in trainings, he always keeps in mind his studies. “After trainings, I make sur to attend my class”, quipped the towering cager from EAC.

His ambition in life is to b a professional basketball player and business man in the near future. With dedication to his passion, these dreams are never far-fetched for Super Mario.
