Warriors stay perfect at home, beat Cavs in first Finals rematch
The Golden State
Warriors depleted the Lebron James-led Cleveland Cavaliers, 89-83 on Christmas
Day in their first match up since the NBA Finals in June. Draymond Green played
huge for the Dubs with 22 points, 15 rebounds and 7 assists.
Reigning
NBA MVP Stephen
Curry was brought to the locker room for an apparent leg
injury, but did return in the second quarter and finished with 19 points while
Klay Thompson added 18 in the home victory. 4-time MVP Lebron James led the
Cavs with 25 points.
The NBA champions Warriors remain unbeaten at home with a 14-0 record,
and 29-1 in all, defeated only once this season by the Milwaukee Bucks. Other
games played on Christmas Day, Houston Rockets grounded the San Antonio Spurs,
88-84, Miami Heat torched New Orleans Pelicans in OT, 94-88, Los Angeles
Clippers routed Los Angeles Lakers 94-84, and the Chicago Bulls thwarted the
Oklahoma City Thunder, 105-96.
