Ritchie Mepranum gets title shot at Carlos Cuadras!

Former World title challenger Filipino Ritchie "Magnum" Mepranum gets another crack at the world title when he battles World Boxing Council (WBC) Super flyweight champion Mexican Carlos Cuadras on April 23, at the Centro de Usos MĂșltiples in Los Mochis, Mexico.

The 28 year old Mepranum whose nicknamed "Magnum" is a 2X World title challenger and the current WBU (World Boxing Union) Super flyweight champion has a record of 31-4-1 with 8 knockouts. He won the WBU title with a 6th round TKO over fellow Filipino Marjhun Tabamo.

Mepranum last defeat was came from Unified WBO-WBA flyweight champion Juan Francsisco Estrada of Mexico on April 29,2014 in Sonora, Mexico. Since his defeat over Estrada Mepranum has won four fights in a row. Mepranum's most notable win was his victory over former World champion  Hernan "Tyson" Marquez. Mepranum is a battle tested boxer and fought bignames like Juan Francsico Estrada,Tyson Marquez,Denkaosan Kaovichit and Julio Cesar Miranda all former world champ in different occassions.

"El Principe" Carlos Cuadras who is unbeaten with a record of  (34 Wins with 24KOs 1 Draw and no defeat) Cuadras will defends his WBC World title for the sixth time against the Filipino and wants to keep busy before his mandatory defense against no,1 contender Thailand's Srisaket Sor Rungvisai.
