With the NBA season winding down, the NBA's individual awards are bound to be announced. Rookie of the Year, Sixth Man of the Year, Most Improved Player, Coach of the Year, Executive of the Year,Defensive Player of the Year and the most prestigious, the Most Valuable Player. Let us examine who are the players that would receive this awards.

Rookie of the Year - Karl Anthony Towns (Minnesota Timberwolves)

There's no question here. Karl Anthony Towns is the most consistent among the rookies from the start until this time. He is having a great rookie season averaging a double double with 18.2 points, 10.5 rebounds. The top pick of the 2015 NBA draft has lived up the expectations and is expected to dominate the bigman of the NBA in the future. I can say that he is a future MVP.

Sixth Man of the Year - Will Barton (Denver Nuggets)

Will Barton is one of the most consistent and reliable player of the Nuggets this season. The high-flying guard out of University of Memphis is averaging 14.5 points, 5.9 rebounds and 2.5 assists this season. Barton is also a candidate for this year's Most Improved Player award.

Most Improved Player - CJ McCollum (Portland Trailblazers)

CJ McCollum had a breakout season this year. With the departure of the four trailblazer's starter last season especially Wesley Matthews, McCollum definitely used this chance to prove that he is worth of a lottery pick. He is now one of the go-to-guy of the Trailblazers behind Damian Lillard. The combo guard is averaging 20.8 points, 3.3 rebounds and 4.2 assists.

Defensive Player of the Year - Kawhi Leonard (San Antonio Spurs)

Kawhi Leonard is still my Defensive player of the Year this season. He is arguably the best perimeter defender on the court and one of the best two-way player right now in the NBA. He is having a great season and made his first all-star appearance last February. If not of the spurs system, Kawhi would easily average 28 points a game and if not of the great season of Stephen Curry and the Warriors, everybody would be talking about Leonard and the Spurs and he will surely be the MVP.

Most Valuable Player of the Game - Stephen Curry (Golden State Warriors)

Stephen Curry will be a back to back MVP. Kawhi Leonard has a shot in this award but Stephen Curry is having his best season in his entire NBA career. A much improved stats and record of the warriors help him seal this award. He is averaging 30 points, 5.4 rebounds and 6.7 assists this season and will be the second player to average over 50-40-90 (FG-FT-3PT) shooting percentage joining only Steve Nash.

Coach of the Year - Gregg Popovich (San Antonio Spurs)

Steve Kerr has a shot this award this season but he is out for more than half of the season.More than half of the warriors win this season was coached by assistant coach Luke Walton who led the Warriors to a 39-4 record while Kerr is having a 30-5 record so far. Greg Popovich is my coach of the year as he is leading the spurs to a 65-12 record so far.

NBA Executive of the Year Award - Danny Ainge (Boston Celtics)

Who would thought that the Boston Celtics will be a top 3 team in the east? Thanks to the genius moves of General Manager Danny Ainge. Boston will compete to the playoffs once again and they don't need to tank to be competitive again. Plus, they will be having a top 5 pick in this year's NBA draft, thanks to the Brooklyn Nets.
