World Series of Fighting – Global Championship (WSOF-GC) continues with the promotion of worldwide events by adding International Combat Elite Fighting Championship (ICE FC) to their list of affiliates, which will be hosting events as the exclusive representative for WSOF Global in the United Kingdom. WSOF-GC has also entered into a strategic agreement with Calvo Promotions in Costa Rica to showcase their talent on the international MMA landscape.

“When you can consistently show the importance and growth of MMA in developing areas like we have done with Philippines and Puerto Rico, it gets a lot of attention from large and small regions alike,” states Zachary ‘Bootsy’ Harris, WSOF-GC Affiliate Coordinator. “In a very short period of time, we took a very basic thought of promoting up and coming superstars, and have developed it into a solid foundation as a Global platform for all organizations to host their shows under our banner. The key is allowing each MMA organization to operate effectively and provide added value. By affiliating themselves with a globally-recognized brand like WSOF Global, it assists them with getting better production deals and with courting larger sponsors. And at the end of the day, the fans win by seeing some great fights that they would not normally have access to.”

“I'm extremely pleased to be able to showcase all of our UK talent to the WSOF Global and American MMA fans,” adds Tom Blackledge, former UFC Fighter and Founder & Owner of ICE FC. “Here at ICE FC, my partners, Aaron Wilkinson and Carl Prince, and I have worked tirelessly to build all the future talent, from the amateur program to our professional fighters. We look forward to getting our content out to all the new ICE fans around the world with the new deal with WSOF-GC, to further increase opportunities to those fighters who sacrifice and show loyalty to our show. It is also a huge incentive and bonus and is one that we view as a huge opportunity for UK MMA as a whole.”

“Here in Costa Rica, we are very excited to be partnered with World Series of Fighting Global,” mentions Jorge Fabio Calvo ArgeƱal, President & Owner of Calvo Promotions. “This big step will give us the opportunity to show the world what Costa Rica and Central America can offer in MMA, by giving our fighters, as well as our sponsors, exposure to a worldwide stage. Our mission is to continue building this union, which will assist our fighters in reaching their goals as well. Our strategic position, the quality of our athletes, the staff of Calvo Promotions, and the experience of World Series of Fighting Global brings a new family together to promote world class events.”

“While WSOF Global continues orchestrating our own events across the world, we are proud to be promoting organizations that are looking to generate additional exposure to an already great product,” said WSOF-GC President, Shawn Wright. “We have always said that we are here to develop the sport and find those fighters that deserve global recognition. We have added seven great promotions since the beginning of 2016 and we do not intend to slow down. We will continue to grow and give our fans access to events and assist our affiliates with grooming talent to create the future stars of MMA.”

ICE FC will host their next event on April 16 from Wrexham, Wales. Calvo Promotions will host their next event this summer from San Juan, Costa Rica. Every MMA fan can watch an unlimited number of events from around the world for only $4.99 per month at
