Filipino boxers 0-4 against the World

(Cris Alfante and Andrew Maloney after the fight)

Yesterday a bunch of Filipino boxers fought outside the Philippines. Unfortunately they all are not able to win on their respective bouts.

Nanning China

Joel Taduran (7-3-1,1) fought for the vacant WBO interim Oriental flyweight title against Chinese Jiang Xiang (8-4,2) one of the undercards of Qiu Xiao Jun-Nehomar Cermmeno WBA championship fight in Nanning China. The bout seems not a mismatch on the paper but The Chinese boxer outpointed Taduran on their 10 rounds title bout. Jiang Xiang claimed the WBO regional title with a Unanimous Decision victory over the Filipino. Scores were 93-99,91-92,92-98.

Victoria Australia

Two Filipinos challenged the Aussie prospect Maloney brothers at Town Hall, Malvern, Victoria, Australia yesterday. The fight between Andrew Maloney and Filipino Cris Alfante went to distance and it became a close fight where Andrew Maloney only gets a Split Decision victory over the determined Filipino. In main event Jason Maloney retained his WBA Oceania Super bantamweight title with a 3rd round Knock out over Filipino Virden Rivera. The Maloney twin stayed unbeaten and both look forward for their next event on August 3 with the same venue.

Podolsk Russia

Sanman boxer Adam Diu "Big Daddy" Abdulhamid (9-2,4) suffered a decision lost  over Russian Georgi Chelokhsaev (8-1-1,6) on their WBO Super light weight Youth title fight.
