Gilas Pilipinas Final 12 who will battle for the coming Manila OQT  and try to get the elusive Olympic berth has been named.

From the 14-man who went for the Europe Training camp,  La Tenorio and Calvin Abueva are the players who didn’t make to the final line-up and will be the team’s reserve.

The Philippines hasn’t played in the Olympics since 1972 in Germany where the team finished 13^th.  Gilas Pilipinas will try to make history to finally play again after 44 years.

The Gilas Pilipinas will face Tony Parker led France on July 5 and will face New Zealand’s Tall Black on July 6 at Mall of Asia Arena. This Olympic Qualifier Tournament will be the Philippines last chance to make the Rio Olympic after falling to China in last year’s Fiba Asia Championship where only the Champion got the ticket to Rio. Gilas Pilipinas standouts will fight this time in front of Filipino crowd and will surely give boost to the team.
