UFC Fight Night 89: MacDonald vs Thompson

Stephen Thompson bags his 7th straight win by defeating Rory MacDonald via unanimous decision at UFC Fight Night 89.

With the fight held in MacDonald's territory, the Canadians rallied and showed their full support to their fighter right at the get-go but did not stop Thompson who displayed his striking prowess in this fight.

Coming off an impressive win over wrestling specialist Johny Hendricks earlier this year, Thompson continued his winning ways and showed perfect timing and striking all throughout the match which gave him a lopsided win.

Thompson's dominance was evident as MacDonald was bloodied up in this fight. The Canadian did not do much damage against his opponent which led to the dismay of the crowd as they witnessed their fighter stumble to his 2nd straight defeat in the UFC.

The judges scored this bout 50-45, 50-45, 48-47.
