Will the Bulls and Sixers Pull Off a Rose-Noel Swap?
The Philadelphia 76ers are looking to trade one of their promising big man, either Jhalil Okafor or Nerlens Noel. According to the reports, the Sixers could offer Nerlens Noel to the Chicago Bulls in exchanged for Derrick Rose. Reports also added that the Bulls could also throw in the contracts of Mike Dunleavy and Taj Gibson to the Sixers along with a first round pick to clear cap space.
Everybody believes that the Bulls need to move on and trade Rose who suffered multiple injuries starting 2011-2012 season. The league's youngest MVP averaged 16.4 points, 3.4 rebounds and 4.7 assists in 66 games this season. He only played a total of 166 regular games and 13 playoff games since 2011.
The Bulls will get a promising young big man that they could build along with Jimmy Butler and Bobby Portis and could probably land big free agent names with their cap space if the deal falls through. Noel, the 6th overall pick in the 2014 NBA draft, averaged 11.1 points, 8.1 rebounds, 1.8 assists. 1.8 steals and 1.5 blocks in 29.3 minutes per game this season. On the other hand. the Sixers will get a star point guard in Rose that could lead the team to their first playoff appearance since 2012.
