Abduqaxorov outclassed Cabalquinto bags WBC Asia title!

Undefeated Qudratillo Abduqaxorov of Uzbekistan outclasses Filipino puncher Adones Cabalquinto Saturday night at Far East Square in Singapore. Abduqaxorov claims the the WBC Asia Welterweight title after all three judgers favored him to win the fight. The scores were 177-111 (3X)

The taller Abduqaxorov gave Cabalquinto problems by using his height advantage and longer reach. Cabalquinto was hurt and look wobbled both in the dying seconds of first two rounds. Cabalquinto tried to press the action in 5th round knowing that the Uzbekistan boxer was ahead on all three scorecards  (37-39,37-39,36-40). Cabalqunto's aggresiveness looks effective when he landed some good shots but he did not maintain his agression and seemed that he was slow down in the 8th round. Abduqaxorov caught Cabalquinto with some serious straight hands and tried to finish the fight by unleashing flurry to wobbled Filipino but Cabalquinto withstood and again went into exchange hoping for a lucky punch in the final round.

22 year-old  Abduqaxorov of Uzbekistan was hailed as the new WBC Asia Welterweight champion and improves his record to 8 wins 5 came from Knockouts and no defeats while Cabalquinto drops to 23 wins 2 losses.

In the undercard Jeson Umbal gets his revenge and claim the WBC Asia bantamweight title  when he won against fellow Filipino Mark Anthony Geraldo by the way of 4th round Technical decision. The fight was stopped due to headbutt and the fight went to scorecards.
