Los Angeles Lakers Heading to the Summer League Playoffs
The Los Angeles Lakers finished undefeated (3-0) and got their first round bye in the 2016 NBA Summer League.
Friday, July 8 - Lakers 85, 65 Pelicans
Saturday, July 9 - 70 Lakers, Sixers 69
Monday, July 11 - Lakers 78, Warriors 69
This may have no bearing but we are learning a lot about these young future stars making their first appearances in Lakers uniform by watching them perform. Seeing how the young core are coming together fast is pretty impressive.
D'Angelo Russell is leading the team and his being competitive is at a high level. Larry Nance Jr's major progress is showing. The man reminds me of Blake Griffin. Brandon Ingram's start though has not looked spectacular. But it what Summer League is for, to find out the things to work on and develop the players.
The Playoffs of the Summer League start today. Lakers is going to play the day after against the winner of Cavaliers Vs. Celtics.
