Yesterday at Korakuen Hall in Tokyo Japan Filipino Jeffrey Arienza suffered 11th round TKO loss against local boxer Akihiro Kondo.

Arienza gave his best in this fight actually he was the one who dictated the fight in early rounds. Arienza was busy throwing effective uppercuts while Kondo was working on body shots trying to slow down Arienza. In middle rounds Kondo adjusted to Arienza's style though Arienza continued to fight back and refused to back off from a fight.

                                           
                                                  

In the 11th round Arienza began to slow down with a severe cut and swelling of his eye the referee decided to halt the fight to avoid further damages.

Akihiro Kondo became the first Japanese to claim the WBO Asia Pacific title on Japanese soil. Kondo goes to 27 wins 12 via KO 6 defeats and 1 draw while Arienza has drop to 15 wins with 5 defeats.
