Jon "Super Saiyan" Tuck returns to Manila to face Mehdi Baghdad in UFC FIGHT NIGHT® Manila

UFC FIGHT NIGHT® Manila: LAMAS vs PENN will feature a Lightweight battle between Jon “Super Saiyan” Tuck (9-3-0, fighting out of Hagatna, Guam) and Medhi “The Sultan” Baghdad (11-4-0, fighting out of Los Angeles, California USA).

Virtually skilled in all aspects of mixed martial arts (MMA), Tuck has gone 3-3 in his first six UFC bouts after an undefeated run in the regional circuit that earned him a contract with the world’s premier MMA organization in 2012. Filipinos remember him for his impressive performance in UFC FIGHT NIGHT® Manila: EDGAR vs Faber in May 2015 where he earned a submission victory and a Performance of the Night bonus. He is confident that he will deliver yet another impressive performance in his second fight back in Manila.

Standing in front of Tuck is the Frenchman Baghdad who is looking for his first UFC victory since competing in The Ultimate Fighter 22 under the tutelage of UFC Featherweight champion Conor “The Notorious” McGregor. A former Muay Thai champion with dangerous elbow strikes and vicious kicks, Baghdad believes that this is his opportunity start his own run in the crowded UFC Lightweight division and it begins with derailing Tuck’s ascension.

UFC FIGHT NIGHT® Manila: LAMAS vs PENN will see the return of former UFC Lightweight and Welterweight champion B.J. “The Prodigy” Penn who will face No.4 ranked UFC Featherweight contender Ricardo “The Bully” Lamas in an explosive five round featherweight fight.

The UFC has also confirmed that Derrick "The Black Beast" Lewis (16-4-0, fighting out of Houston, Texas USA) will clash against Marcin "Tybur Tybura (14-2-0, fighting out of Warszawa, Poland) in the Heavyweight co-main event of UFC FIGHT NIGHT® Manila: LAMAS vs PENN.

Other bouts include: 

·         A flyweight showdown between Japan’s own title contender No. 3 ranked Kyoji Horiguchi (17-2-0, fighting out of Coconut Creek, Florida USA) and No. 8 ranked Ali Bagautinov (14-4-0, fighting out of Dagestan, Republic of Russia)

·         A Strawweight bout between Danielle “Dynamite” Taylor (7-2-0, fighting out of Van Nuys, California USA) and Seohee Ham (16-7-0, fighting out of Busan, South Korea) in what will be the first-ever women’s bout UFC will hold in the Philippines.

·         A Featherweight clash featuring Mizuto “Pugnus” Hirota (18-7-2, fighting out of Tokyo, Japan) who will take on Cole “Magrinho” Miller (21-10-0, fighting out of Coconut Creek, Florida USA)
