Blaze Fighting Championship emerges

Only this Sunday it was announced on the launch of Blaze Fighting Championship. The first event, Blaze Fighting Championship 1 - Gladiator's Quest is set to happen on 17 December.

Blaze FC President Mr Mike Saint Claire says, ' We are happy with the reception from the MMA community here upfront. Philippines is a great place to develop Mixed Martial Arts and we are here to do just that. With plans to enter Thailand as well, we want to provide Filipino fighters with every chance to fight abroad.'.

From the initial media release, we have come to know that there will be two championship bouts in the first event. One will be a Strawweight title involving Pakistani prospect Muhammad Imran (6-0) and another Featherweight title involving Amr Maher (4-2) from Egypt.

The owner and chairman of Blaze Fighting Championship is Mr Ferdie Munsayac, the VP is Mr Faizan and the Director of Operations is Mr Matthew McGrigor.

When asked on his thoughts of being a part of the Filipino MMA scene, Mr McGrigor says, 'I am very excited to be part of Blaze and working with the experienced team to put on great events for the fans in Thailand and Philippines.'
