Jonathan Taconing to fight for WBC International tilt in his comeback fight

Jonathan Taconing came up short on his second attempt to become a world champion against WBC light-flyweight world champion Ganigan Lopez in July but Taconing is back on the hunt for another title shot.

Former OPBF and WBC International light-flyweight champion Jonathan Taconing
(22-3-1,18KOs) will make his first ring appearance after his competitive loss to world champ Ganigan Lopez on July 2. He will try to reclaim the WBC International light-flyweight title by facing fellow Filipino Salatiel Amit (9-1-2,7KOs) on November 19th.

In his first world title fight in 2012, Taconing lost a highly controversial Technical Decision to then Thai champ, Kompayak Porpramook in Thailand. While in the process of pummeling Porpramook in the corner with a barrage of punches, Korean referee Jae Bong Kim questionably stopped the fight due to a cut to the champion which Taconing's camp described as non-critical.

Amit from Omega boxing gym only setback was against prospect Jade Bornea in July 2015. He is riding on his 3 fights winning strict and will be a good test for Taconing's comeback fight.
