UFC 205: McGregor wins 2nd title, makes history

It was a busy day at the Madison Square Garden as the UFC held another stacked event featuring big fighters such as Chris Weidman, Joana Jedrzejczyk, Conor McGregor and many more. The arena was packed as roughly around twenty thousand fans went on to witness the fights live.

The event was headlined by no other than Conor McGregor who defeated Eddie Alvarez to win the UFC Lightweight Championship. The Irishman made history as he was the first fighter ever in the UFC to hold 2 titles.

He defeated Alvarez in the second round with under two minutes remaining via knockout (punches). McGregor dominated the fight from the get-go taking down Alvarez to the ground three times in the opening round.

With this win, McGregor now holds the UFC Lightweight championship along with the UFC Featherweight title. He now improves his MMA record to 21-3.
