Ricky Rubio the Sensation that never really happened in Minnesota

Ricky Rubio is not playing for the Wolves for Personal reason, that's new! Trade Rumor
The Spanish Sensation in Minnesota may be over soon

All points leading towards a trade for a sensation that never happened for Ricky Rubio.

Ricky Rubio was a hot commodity when he was playing in Europe and the NBA got really excited for the young and promising player.

The Wolves was the lucky team who picked Ricky at number 5 overall in the 2009 NBA Rookie draft, passing the chance to pick Stephen Curry(7th) and DeMar DeRozan (9th) who are now considered the best in the league.

For five years the Timberwolves has been patient and has been waiting for the young and injured prone guard to finally live up to the hype but it looks like the wait is finally coming to an end, maybe. Ricky Rubio is averaging about 10 points and 8 assist every year but it isn't what was expected of him.

With Zach Lavine, Andrew Wiggins and Anthony Towns flourishing it looks like the Wolves finally got the core that they have been looking for.  Ricky Rubio is no longer part of that core team.

Rumors around the league that the Timberwolves is finally ready to let go of the Spaniard and potential destinations are Detroit, Chicago or Clippers.

Ricky Rubio Highlights.
