Chavez and Gadapan Will Battle For The Vacant Philippine Title!

Philippine #2 Superlightweight Jheritz Chavez (6-1-2,4) and #9 Gadapan (12-8-2,8) will battle for the vacant Philippine-Games and Amusement Board (GAB) Super lightweight title at SM MOA in Pasay City on March 17. The bout is promoted by Elorde Int'l Productions.

25-year old Chavez a former Philippine amateur team and has held WBC-ABCO and WBC-EPBC titles is fresh from biggest win of his career after stopping veteran and former world rated compatriot Al Sabaupan (25-3-1) via 7th round TKO in November 2016. Jheritz "Goodboy" Chavez only defeat was came from Russian Vage Sarukhanyan where he lost his WBC-EPBC title and unblemished record. Chavez was down in the first round and Sarukhanyan clearly outclass Chavez on their fight.

Meanwhile former World Boxing Federation Asia Pacific champion Gadapan is also a giant killer and will not give the belt easily to Chavez. 29 y/o Gadapan won the WBF title by upsetting highly favored Nelson Tinampay (10-1) by 6th round TD win in 2016. Tinampay suffered a cut in the second round due to a legal punch and failed to answer the bell to start Round six.

Both boxers were came from their biggest wins and will give an exciting match for the boxing fans.

The number 1 rated in the division is Jason Pagara but it seems that Pagara has no interest to fight for the Philippine title.
