Grieving Isaiah Thomas Performed Well But Boston Celtics Still Fell to the Chicago Bulls
An athlete's performance in a game is mostly credited because of preparation and training.
For the 28 year old and 60th overall pick in the 2011 NBA draft Isaiah Thomas, no one could have prepared him for a horrific incident that happened a day before one of the important games in the NBA season.
22 year old Chyna Thomas sister of MVP candidate Isaiah Thomas was reported to have died in a car accident in Washington.
Isaiah opts to play the very first game against the Bulls and was obviously still shaken by the unexpected incident. With a heavy heart, Thomas was able to play his usual self, scoring 33 points with a decent 10 -18 field goal. Boston Celtics as a team played well with the support of Al Hartford and Avery Bradley who had a combined 33 points.
Thomas is an epitome of a strongman, he played his bleeding heart out in game 1.
Although the results did not go their favor with the Bulls edging the Celtics 106 -102, led by Jimmy Butler who scored a team high of 30 points. Thomas got the sympathy and the respect of other players including Butler who talked about how tough Thomas is after the game.
Tonight is just the first game of the best of seven series between the Bulls and the Celtics.
