ICYMI: Ginebra Dominates SMB to Officially Qualify for the Playoffs

May 21, 2017 - San Miguel Beermen started the game as if they were not themselves scoring a measly 15 points.

On the other hand, Ginebra poured in more than double with 31 points led by Tenorio who ended up with a total of 20 points and 8 assists.

The hole was too deep for SMB as they were trailing most of the game. Even with outstanding scoring from import Rhodes who registered a team high of 26 points.

Rhodes, while scoring the most points also had the most turnovers with 9. Fajardo was also not himself although scoring 13 points and grabbing 14 rebounds. His field goal was awful at 5/ 13.

Meanwhile, the Gin Kings was shooting the lights out, with LA Tenorio registering 20 points, Thompson 18, Devance 16 and Brownlee with a game high 34. Mercado and Ferrer struggled for the Gin with a combined 8 points on a 3 out of 15 shooting.

The win gave Ginebra its 6 wins and a shared second place spot with SMB.
