Ceres def. Meralco Manila 7-0


Last Saturday Meralco Manila tasted their first defeat in a brutal manner as Ceres Negros took a commanding 7-0 victory over the Sparks.



The visiting team took control of the match and scored their first goal on the 17th minute of the game. A hat trick from Philippine international Iain Ramsey was also one of the main factors of this wide margin Ceres built.

Despite the loss, Meralco Manila remains on top of the league table with 23 points and will face league no. 2 Global Cebu FC this Saturday, July 22. Ceres on the other hand seats at fourth place with 19 points, 1 point above the league's 5th, JP Voltes and will be facing Davao Agilas on Saturday as well.
