Cavs Could Veto Blockbuster Trade to Celtics
The completion of the blockbuster trade between Cleveland Cavaliers and Boston Celtics will wait until Wednesday (US Time) after the physical exam results. It’s common practice for teams to perform comprehensive medical exams on players with prior medical issues. Isaiah Thomas is nursing with hip injury and the Cavaliers are said to be interested in acquiring additional assets before exchanging Kyrie Irving.
Cavaliers initially offered their premier point guard Irving for Thomas, forward Jae Crowder, big man Ante Zizic, and the Brooklyn Nets 2018 first-round pick.
The Cleveland Cavaliers is now asking for either rookie Jayson Tatum or Jaylen Brown but Boston Celtics has consistently remained unwilling to add either of the two.
The Cavaliers could veto the blockbuster trade if Celtics don't revise the trade.
