New Taipei Secures Final Spot in EASL Final Four 2025
New Taipei makes history as the first team to qualify for back-to-back EASL postseasons.The New Taipei Kings are heading to Macau! With a thrilling 106-96 double-overtime win against the PBA’s Meralco Bolts, New Taipei clinched the final spot in the EASL Final Four 2025, sealing their place on the last day of the league’s group stage.
The Kings finished the regular season with a 4-2 record, closing out on a strong three-game winning streak. Their historic qualification marks them as the first team to reach consecutive EASL Final Fours, following their fourth-place finish in the league’s inaugural 2023-24 season.
With New Taipei securing the last ticket, the EASL Final Four 2025 lineup is now set:
- New Taipei Kings (P. LEAGUE+) – Group B No. 2 seed
- Ryukyu Golden Kings (B.LEAGUE) – Group B No. 1 seed
- Hiroshima Dragonflies (B.LEAGUE) – Group A No. 1 seed
- Taoyuan Pauian Pilots (P. LEAGUE+) – Group A No. 2 seed
New Taipei will face Hiroshima Dragonflies in the first semifinal, while Ryukyu Golden Kings battle Taoyuan Pauian Pilots in the second.
