Davis' Road to the Title
The Norfolk, Virginia native has quickly risen from Olympic silver medalist to one of boxing’s most electrifying young stars. His 2024 campaign was a statement year, dominating Jose Pedraza, outclassing Miguel Madueño, and delivering a crushing second-round knockout of Gustavo Lemos in front of a sold-out hometown crowd.
Meanwhile, Berinchyk, a 2012 Olympic silver medalist, made waves last May by defeating Emanuel Navarrete via split decision to claim the WBO lightweight title.
Keyshawn Davis on His Title Shot
After a grueling training camp in Las Vegas, Davis shared his thoughts:
🏟️ On fighting at Madison Square Garden:
"I’m beyond excited. New York City is like a second home to me. I have family out there, and now I’m fighting for my first world title in a legendary arena. That makes it even more special."
🥊 On Berinchyk as an opponent:
"He’s undefeated and coming off his biggest win against Navarrete. He’s got more experience than me, and this isn’t a vacant title—I have to take it from him."
🔥 On his preparation:
"I’ve never faced a fighter like him as a pro, but if you liked my last fight, expect an even bigger performance. It’s going to be a hell of a showdown."
🏆 On his mindset:
"I feel strong, motivated, and locked in. Nothing is stopping me from becoming a world champion on February 14. I’m ready to put on a show."
💥 On making a statement:
"Right now, my focus is on winning that belt. But if I knock Berinchyk out in spectacular fashion, people will start seeing me as one of the big names. February 14 is my moment to make that happen."
With the stakes higher than ever, Davis vs. Berinchyk is a must-watch event. Will “The Businessman” close the deal and take home his first world title?
