Drex Zamboanga Targets 2026 Debut with BRAVE Combat Federation

After a challenging period on the sidelines, Filipino MMA standout Drex “T-Rex” Zamboanga is officially cleared to return to action, setting his sights on a major debut with BRAVE Combat Federation in 2026.

The 32-year-old veteran is eager to maximize his multi-bout contract with the global promotion after an injury delayed his initial plans. Zamboanga was originally scheduled to face undefeated Bahraini prospect and No. 2-ranked lightweight Ramazan Gitinov at BRAVE CF 95 last May. However, a lateral collateral ligament (LCL) injury sustained during fight week forced him to withdraw.

Following months of intensive physical therapy, Zamboanga confirmed he is back to full health.

"My body feels great now," Zamboanga said. "The rehab was tough, but it worked. I am healthy, I am training at full intensity again, and I am starting to feel my groove come back every day."

A Decorated Resume Zamboanga brings a wealth of experience to the BRAVE CF cage, holding a professional record of 14-6 with eight finishes. He first rose to prominence domestically as the URCC Bantamweight Champion, capturing the title in 2017 with a TKO over Rex De Lara and defending it in 2019 against South Korea’s Seung Hyun Cho.

On the international stage, "T-Rex" posted a solid 3-1 run, securing victories over Detchadin Sorsirisuphathin, Rahul Raju, and Team Lakay’s Adonis Sevilleno.

Now, Zamboanga views 2026 as a pivotal year for his resurgence.

"I have been away long enough, and I am hungry to compete again," Zamboanga stated. "BRAVE CF gives me the chance to reset, to prove myself again, and to rekindle my career in 2026. I believe my best performances are still ahead of me."
