Missing Former NBA Player Lorenzen Wright Found Dead

The body of former National Basketball Association (NBA) player Lorenzen Wright was found dead in Memphis.

The investigators of Memphis homicide arrived at the location where the body of Wright was reportedly discovered. Reports from The Commercial-Appeal revealed that the body was for sure the missing body of Wright and the WHBQ-TV likewise reported that the body of the former NBA player sustained multiple gunshot wounds on Wednesday. Memphis Police Department already cited both reports as their sources.





The clear discovery of his body comes following his family detailed that Wright is missing since July 19, 2010. According to the report of the Collierville police released on Wednesday, he likely had brought a lot of money on him when he was last seen leaving his ex-wife’s home in Collierville, Tennessee, which leading concerns that he might be a victim of a foul play.

The Commercial-Appeal received a report from a source that police are seeking into a 911 hang-up call from the victim’s cell phone left last July 19, which was the day he disappeared.

Wright had played 13 seasons in the NBA with five different teams that include Los Angeles Clippers, Memphis Grizzlies, Atlanta Hawks, and Sacramento Kings and recently with the Cleveland Cavaliers having 17 games in the 2008-09 season. He left the University of Memphis early to play in the NBA when the Clippers drafted him as the No.7 overall pick.

Wright averages 8 points and 6.4 rebounds per game in his 778 career games.

Penny Hardaway, a former NBA star nag played at Memphis two year ahead of Wright, stated that he heard the news from his friend and went to the location where Wright’s body was found dead.

Hardaway also said that he cried and had expressed his emotion that it is unfortunate to lose a good person as well as a brother too.
