Warriors stay perfect at home, beat Cavs in first Finals rematch

The Golden State Warriors depleted the Lebron James-led Cleveland Cavaliers, 89-83 on Christmas Day in their first match up since the NBA Finals in June. Draymond Green played huge for the Dubs with 22 points, 15 rebounds and 7 assists.

Reigning NBA MVP Stephen Curry was brought to the locker room for an apparent leg injury, but did return in the second quarter and finished with 19 points while Klay Thompson added 18 in the home victory. 4-time MVP Lebron James led the Cavs with 25 points.

The NBA champions Warriors remain unbeaten at home with a 14-0 record, and 29-1 in all, defeated only once this season by the Milwaukee Bucks. Other games played on Christmas Day, Houston Rockets grounded the San Antonio Spurs, 88-84, Miami Heat torched New Orleans Pelicans in OT, 94-88, Los Angeles Clippers routed Los Angeles Lakers 94-84, and the Chicago Bulls thwarted the Oklahoma City Thunder, 105-96.
