2016 PBA Draft Power Ranking 1.0: A Loaded Batch
The draft is so far away but the pool is becoming more clearer as the day goes by.
Just like in the last one, I will give you two values, potential value and the current skills and impact value. The potential value conotes into how great will this player be if he hits his ceiling. While the CSIV refers to the what the players can offer as of the moment. The highest value is 15 for each.

#1 Bobby Ray Parks Jr. (Previously #1)
Age: 23 Position: SG/SF (6'4)Potential Value: 15Current Skills and Impact Value: 14
Parks just turned 23 last Friday but if he enters the PBA draft this year, he will still be one of the youngest participant. He is slowly improving in NBA D-League where he scored his D-League career high 12 points earlier this month. He is slowly improving on both ends of the courts and I really believe that he will instantly become the best wing in the league if joins in.
#2 Christian Standhardinger (Previously #2)Age: 26 Position: PF (6'7)Potential Value: 13Current Skills and Impact Value: 15It is still not sure if he will really come here in the Philippines to join the draft because he is doing well in ProA in Germany.
#3 Michael Williams (Previously #3)Age: 24 Position: Guard (6'2)Potential Value: 14Current Skills and Impact Value: 14
I have high expectations about this guy. He is very skilled and very crafty. I can already feel it, he will be the steal of the draft.
#4 Kiefer Ravena (Previously #4)Age: 21 Position: SG (6'0)Potential Value: 14Current Skills and Impact Value: 13
In grabbing his second Most Valuable Player plum, he produced 18.9 points, 6.1 rebounds and 4.9 assists. Kiefer played in the Republica Cup for Malolos Mighty and in one of their games, he exploded for 20 points. Kiefer is a superstar in the making.
#5 Robbie Herndon (Previously #9)Age: 22 Position: Wingman (6'4)Potential Value: 13Current Skills and Impact Value: 13
The more I watch this guy, the more I am impressed. He is a unique prospect because he is more of a power guard, meaning he uses his big body and strength more than speed and skills. Paul Lee is a good comparison but with more muscles and more athletic. He can also stop and pop from the three and combine that and you have a very intriguing prospect.
#6 Kevin Ferrer (Previously #5)Age: 22 Position: SF (6'4)Potential Value: 13Current Skills and Impact Value: 13
I think a lot of fans are not convince with my projection for him. A wing player that stands 6'4 with above average athleticism, can rebound and with passable defensive skills doesn't come very often in the PBA. Actually, there is no one in the league right now who has the combination of those skills and traits.
#7 Mac Belo (Previously #7)Age: 23 Position: Forward (6'5)Potential Value: 12Current Skills and Impact Value: 13
I am slowly buying the hype of Mac Belo who just celebrated his 23rd birthday last February 12. The things that I love about him are, he works hard to improve and he has the never say die spirit. His athleticism is just average but he developed his fundamentals very well that he became a very effective player.
#8 Arnold Van Opstal (Previously #10)Age: 23 Position: Center (6'8)Potential Value: 12Current Skills and Impact Value: 12
Now that I confirmed that he is actually preparing to join the upcoming PBA draft, I can now bump him up to #8. Why? Height is might in basketball.
#9 Taylor Statham (Previously #6)Age: 23 Position: SF/PG (6'6)Potential Value: 13Current Skills and Impact Value: 11
I am really hoping that Statham will be drafted by a team that will give him the chance to develop. His craftiness and length could push him as a special player someday.
#10 Ed Daquioag (Previously #8)Age: 24 Position: Guard (6'0)Potential Value: 12Current Skills and Impact Value: 11
In his last year in the UAAP, he produced 16.4 points, 5.6 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 1.1 steals. He has the tools to become a highlight reel guy, ala Cyrus Baguio an Samboy Lim, but I am not pretty sure if a team will really give him enough chance to develop.
#11 Jiovani Jalalon (Previously #12)Age: 23 Position: Point Guard (5'10)Potential Value: 12Current Skills and Impact Value: 10
I just found out that he could be shorter than 5'9 so I am now apprehensive to believe that he can also do triple-doubles in the PBA. Even without that, his decision making and passing ability is still top notch.
#12 Jason Perkins (New!)
Age: 23 Position: Power Forward (6'4)
Potential Value: 10
Current Skills an Impact Value: 11
I am curious to see how Perkins will fair in the professional level. He was the #1 pick in the recent PBA D-League draft but he is not shining there. Still, he is a hard worker and very skilled that he deserves some consideration.
