Carlo "The Douche Boy" Laurel has definitely lived up to his nickname. Warning Explicit!
URCC Rebellion set for April 23rd in the Marriott Grand Ballroom at the Resorts World Casino. This fight card includes a matchup between Alvin Ramirez and Carlo Laurel that has all the makings for an explosive MMA fight: Old vs New, Striker vs Grappler and Bad Blood between the fighters.
OG vs a prodigy
An OG of the Philippine MMA scene Alvin Ramirez has been exciting Pinoy MMA fans for years. Alvin's dazzling striking skills has given us some of the best Pinoy MMA fights in the past and he's looking to excite his fans once again. Carlo "The Douche Boy" Laurel has burst into the Pinoy MMA scene in the past few years. He was on a nice 3 fight win streak until "The Douche Boy" met "The Golden Boy" CJ De Thomas. CJ beat him via unanimous decision in July of 2015 now Carlo is eager to get back to the win column.
Striker vs Grappler
This matchup seems to be a classic striker vs grappler matchup with both fighters always looking to finish. Alvin would be wise to keep the fight in striking range while Carlo would want to close the distance and then bring the fight to the ground. We'll see on fight day which of these two fighters can keep their composure and execute their game plan.
Bad Blood
If UFC fighters have their "Twitter Beefs" our homegrown URCC fighters now have their "Facebook Beef". Pinoy MMA fans can watch the trash talk unfold live on Facebook just by following the posts of these two fighters.
Carlo "The Douche Boy" Laurel has definitely lived up to his nickname, in between the "FU's" and the "TI's" he's telling Alvin up front that he's going to "take him out!" Alvin responded like a big brother putting his mouthy little brother in his place saying, "you'll stop talking after I break your jaw and put you to sleep!"
The back and forth definitely got heated, fans and other Pinoy MMA fighters even chimed in.
All this social media fighting is entertaining and is a good way to hype up the fight but fan favorite Caloy "BadBoy" Baduria summed it up nicely with his comment when he said "maganda laban sa ring wala na sagutan!"
