Naoya Inoue to face mandatory challenger; Akira Yaegashi will make his first title defense on May 28th
22-year-old Japanese phenom two divison world champion and the reigning and defending WBO World Super flyweight champion Naoya Inoue (9-0,8) will defend his title against the no.1 contender Mexican David Carmona (20-2-5,8) May 28th at Ariake Colisseum in Tokyo Japan
Inoue's last title defense was against Filipino Warlito Parrenas last December. Inoue easily scored a 2nd round stoppage to defend his title successfully agaisnt the Filipino. David Carmona also fought Parrenas for the WBO interim title but end up in a controversial draw in a bout that seemed Parrenas clearly won.
In co main event 3 division world champion Akira Yaegashi (23-5,12) will defend his IBF World light flyweight title agaisnt Mexican brawler Martin Tecuapetla (13-6,10) the winner of this fight will get the winner of Milan Melindo-Javier Mendoza title eliminator that still in negotiation.
