Two New Filipino OPBF Champions crowned!

Bacolod City Negros Occidental Philippines- Tripe OPBF "interim" title showdown resulted two new OPBF "interim" champions.

The first who claimed OPBF "interim" title is "The Commander" Rene Dacquel (17-6-1,6) of United Promotions who scored a unexpected and sensational 9th round KO over previously unbeaten and hard hitting Thailander Lucky Tor Buamas (7-1,7). Dacquel landed right then follow by a left which left Tor Buamas flat on the canvass. The KO is highly considered as KO of The Year Candidate.

The Another Filipino champion is Carlo "The Ferocious" Magali (20-7-3,10) of Highland Boxing gym, who beat former WBO Oriental Champion Japan based Filipino Mark Gil Melligen (27-7-1,12). Magali is currently riding on his 5th straight winning streak and has won back to back championship fights. Magali added the OPBF "interim" Featherweight title to his IBF Pan Pacific title.

Japan based Filipino Jonathan Baat and Filipino Rey Megrino fight to a thrilling and draw. The OPBF "interim" bantamweight title remains vacant.
