Yesterday a bunch of Filipino boxers fought outside the Philippines. Unfortunately they all are not able to win on their respective bouts.
Nanning China
Joel Taduran (7-3-1,1) fought for the vacant WBO interim Oriental flyweight title against Chinese Jiang Xiang (8-4,2) one of the undercards of Qiu Xiao Jun-Nehomar Cermmeno WBA championship fight in Nanning China. The bout seems not a mismatch on the paper but The Chinese boxer outpointed Taduran on their 10 rounds title bout. Jiang Xiang claimed the WBO regional title with a Unanimous Decision victory over the Filipino. Scores were 93-99,91-92,92-98.

Two Filipinos challenged the Aussie prospect Maloney brothers at Town Hall, Malvern, Victoria, Australia yesterday. The fight between Andrew Maloney and Filipino Cris Alfante went to distance and it became a close fight where Andrew Maloney only gets a Split Decision victory over the determined Filipino. In main event Jason Maloney retained his WBA Oceania Super bantamweight title with a 3rd round Knock out over Filipino Virden Rivera. The Maloney twin stayed unbeaten and both look forward for their next event on August 3 with the same venue.
