Jimmie Rivera is The Future of UFC Bantamweight Class


Set on Sept 10 in Cleveland, the No. 14 Jimmie 'El  Terror' Rivera will face the No. 2 Urijah Faber in a Bantamweight fight at UFC 203: Miocic vs. Overeem.

It was an upset for Urijah Faber to get the Bantamweight strap over Dominick Cruz at UFC 199: Rockhold vs. Bisping 2 last month.

Meanwhile, all three of Rivera's last fights inside the UFC octagon were victorious:

⚫Def Luri Alcântara by Decision (unanimous) at UFC on Fox 18: Johnson vs. Bader. It earned Fight Of The Night (FOTN) bonus at the same time

⚫Def Pedro Munhoz by Decision (split) at UFC Fight Night 77: Belfort vs. Henderson 3

⚫Def Marcus Brimage by TKO (punches) at UFC Fight Night 72: Bisping vs. Leites

Jimmie was a Bantamweight Champion at Cage Fury Fighting Championships (CFFC) and Ring of Combat. While at King of the Cage (KOTC) in Flyweight division, he was once a Champion also. The rising Bantamweight was a former Bellator and World Series Of Fighting (WSOF) contender as well. Rivera has a 19-1 MMA record. What he have accomplished on his MMA career shows the man really working his ass off for it and his passion is greater than his challenges. With his title reigns, win-loss record, how many times and where he competed, I could see this 27-year-old getting a title shot in the near future. The California Kid better don't sleep on El Terror Jimmie Rivera.

Jimmie Rivera's wish to fight someone in the top ten was granted. This is a great opportunity for his intention on climbing up the UFC 135 lbs ladder. Urijah Faber will provide him with his biggest test of his career.

  The Philippines is gearing up to welcome Southeast Asia's trail running elites as it prepares to host the prestigious Southeast Asian Trail Running Cup in the locale of Bontoc, Mountain Province, from June 19-23, 2024. Tin Ferrera, secretary-general of Philtra and Head for the Southeast Asian Trail Running Confederation, expressed her excitement about bringing the biennial competition to the country.  "We, as Philtra, and our athletes have joined the World Mountain Trail Running Championships and other big events outside the region and across Asia and we believe it’s time we show what we have.
