Team Tapales arrives in Osaka ahead of title defense!

WBO World Bantamweight champion Marlon "Nightmare" Tapales with his manager Rex Wakee Salud and trainer Fernando Ocon arrived in Osaka Monday afternoon while former world champion Gerry Penalosa also arrived to support fellow Filipino Tapales on his first title defense and rematch against Japanese Shohei Omori on Sunday April 23 at Edion Arena in Osaka Japan.

Marlon Tapales (29-2,12) first encounter with Shohei Omori (18-1,13) was happened on December 2016 in Kyoto Japan where Tapales easily dispatched the Japanese boxer in second round of their first fight.

In the undercard another Filipino boxer Neil John Tabanao (13-3,9) will face Japan-based Korean Teiru Atsumi (12-1,6).
