URCC 30 on August 12 Featuring Mark Striegl, Chris Hofmann, Jiar Castillo and Kiko Matos

The longest running MMA promotion in the Philippines is back for another night of action packed MMA.  On August 12 the Universal Reality Combat Championship will have a grand event that will feature some of the best homegrown fighters including four title fights.

Mark Stiegl who had stints with PXC and One Championship is now back again with URCC and will co-main event the card as he battles against former URCC Bantamweight champion Andrew Benibe. Striegl is a well known name in the MMA industry and was a top prospect in MMA and he is looking to comeback on top. His opponent, a veteran URCC fighter is also at the crossroad of his career having more losses than wins in his record. A win against Striegl could propel him back to continue to fight.

Also on the card is the hungry one eyed beast by the name of Twister! Jiar Castillo last fought April 21, 2017 when he disposed of Alvin Ramirez while showcasing his striking and his strength and conditioning. His opponent Derrick Easterling is coming from stateside and is a 9-fight veteran fighter who won the title by defeating replacement fighter Monterosso. Both Fighters are eager to make a name for themselves and they got the perfect situation doing it in the iconic Araneta Coliseum.

Last notable fight on the card is the Two-Division URCC World Champion, Chris Hofmann of DEFTAC as he puts his middleweight championship title on the line against Canadian Robert Sothmann of Dragon Warrior MMA. Chris Hofmann is riding on 5 game winning streak while Sothmann on the other hand just had a successful return bout last April and is looking to continue his resurgence inside the cage.

Side note: There could potentially be a special attraction on the fight card between actor Kiko Matos and local boy Billy Jack Sanchez.
