Verdejo Wants to Stay Busy While Waiting for Flanagan


WBO number one lightweight contender Felix "El Diamante" Verdejo wants to stay busy while waiting for the WBO lightweight world champ Terry Flanagan's recovery. Verdejo wants to return to the ring in September either in an interim title fight or stay busy fight.

They were supposed to be the co feature fight of Billy Joe Saunders WBO Middleweight Title defense against Willie Monroe Jr in London UK on September 19th.

Flanagan's team already submitted a medical report showing injury in his left hamstring and mild injury to his left foot to World Boxing Organization. However WBO indicated that the medical report was incomplete and still waiting for follow up medical reports as well as the MRI of Terry Flanagan.
