Mickey Bey vs Anthony Peterson Set for August 22


Former IBF lightweight world champion Mickey Bey (22-2-1,10) will face Lamont Peterson's younger brother Anthony Peterson (37-1,24) in a 10 round non-title lightweight contest on August 22 at Sam's Town Hotel in Las Vegas Nevada. 

34, Mickey Bey of Ohio Cleveland won the IBF world title with 12 round split decsion win over Mexican Miguel Vazquez in 2014.  He vacated the title because he refused to defend it in Macau against Denis Shafikov. In mid 2016 Bey had tried to reclaim his title but lost to Cuban Rances Barthelemy in a close fight. 

32, Anthony Peterson of Memphis, Tennessee is the younger brother of current WBA welterweight world champion Anthony Peterson. He is currently riding a 7-Fight win streak since he tasted his first defeat at the hands of Brandon Rios in 2011 via disqualification due to repeated low blows.
