Christian Standhardinger and the Other Fil-Foreign Players who applied for the PBA Draft

After signing to play for the Hong Kong Eastern Lion in the ASEAN Basketball League, Christian Standhardinger surprisingly also submitted his application for the upcoming PBA draft.

Christian Standhardinger at 28 years old made himself known to the Philippine basketball scene as a replacement for Andre Blatche. His rugged, no nonsense type of play immediately made an impact on the team and earned him a spot in the heart of the Filipino fans.

Standhardinger is Fil-German and had played college basketball for Nebraska and Hawaii. He also had some professional experience playing in Germany playing for Mitteldeutscher BC and SC Rasta Vechta.

His applications may have disrupted the draft order as he may now be considered as the top pick if ever he would be approved by the PBA.  The draft will be on October 29.
