Even if he only made 1 of his first 10 attempts in the 3-point area, Paul Desiderio was still confident as ever.

Down by 2 with five seconds remaining in the game. Paul received a pass from Jun Manzo coming from a curl then he rises up for the game winner. He finished the game with 17 points to lead UP to a 74-73 win against the UST Growling Tigers.

Marvin Lee led the fight for UST with 20 markers while Ateve Akomo collected 15 points for a losing cost.

Last year's Juniors MVP, Juan Gomez de Llano debuted for UP with 7 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists in 15 minutes of playing time.
