WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross pted a new blog on jrsbarbq.com today with a note that Batista is considering entering MMA once he gets healthy from his completed WWE run.

"I've heard some rumblings that when Batista gets healthy that he might try his hand in the MMA world. This rumor is FAR from official but I do know that Batista has been doing some MMA training and has a bona fide interest in the genre," Ross said. "This would be a huge challenge for Batista if he indeed attempts to compete in MMA at a high level which, again, is not a done deal."

Regarding WWE, Ross reviewed last night's Raw and talked about the lack of roster depth being an issue in WWE again with injuries creeping up.

"We've often talked about the lack of main event level depth within the business and when a rash of injuries occurs this point is magnified even more," Ross said. "I look at it as a great opportunity for several individuals including some who many emailers consistently mention as being 'underutilized.'"
